This Shun Classic Chef's Knife is as sharp as it gets. Featuring 16 layers of SUS410 high-carbon stainless steel on each side of its VG-10 "Super steel" blade, the knife slices so easily through onions without crushing the fruit that you'll never cry again!

The super sharp blade has the look and benefits of Damascus steel, yet without its rusting problems. The "D" shaped handle offers maximum comfort and control. It is made from ebony-black PakkaWood®, manufactured from hardwood veneers impregnated with phenolic, thermosetting resins and fused into a solid wood-grained structure for years of comfort and reliable service.
