The Zyliss Mandoline has a proprietary safety rail-guided system with sliding track that permits a safe, easy and controlled back-and-forth motion over a V-shaped stainless steel blade. This action yields a quick and effortless slicing of vegetables and fruits in various thicknesses, ranging from paper thin to 1/4" thick. The Mandoline easily handles all sizes and shapes of foods, in small or large quantities. It quickly cuts or slices consistent, professional looking fruit and vegetable slices for hors d'oeuvres, side dishes, entrees, desserts, and beverages.
